Abergele...Residents Post Hate Filled Blog Rant at 2 Million Gwrych Castle Grant!

 

It's sad to see that Abergele has such a nasty underbelly and why they would post hate like this on The Abergele Facebook page, these things should not be written online.

One of the people below was also investigated by North Wales Police for a previous comment, you think they would have learned something from that incident!

Please be careful what you write, It can be used as evidence, and all Facebook posts have your name right by them!

Well done to Grych Castle for winning the money, some people are complaining that the money could be spent on other things,

but I guess it is about who is motivated enough to apply for grants rather than the armchair critics that flap their mouths at every opportunity but do nothing about anything!

    The fact the opening sentence of their ‘about us’ section reads “As an eleven year-old child in 1996, Mark…” says it all.

    They’re going to have to update their “Vision” document to include commercial events, private weddings, ticketed cocktails evenings, more fences” because the mission creep is unbelievable 

    Imagine the changes you could make to Pentre Mawr Park with £2m. I know that’s not the intended use of Heritage Funding, but it puts it into perspective when considering community benefit.

    N E It’s difficult isn’t it.

    I’m all for the preservation of this building.

    However I can’t shake the feeling that we’re all being laughed at by a charitable Trust which can happily accept £millions of publicly funded grants whilst completely ignoring the local population!

    G M sadly I suspect a lot goes on their court cases and additional fencing etc. I too struggle to separate the building itself from those running it these days

      R D unfortunately no one is taken Ng any notice of her friends who've tried to bring it into the open. Charity commission is useless, they just reply with a stock answer to say they're keeping it on file!! How many complaints does it take before they bother themselves to check up. We've all been very disappointed and disheartened.

• let’s hope they do actually use it for repairs to the main Castle itself & not for more empire building (eg Tan yr Ogof Lodge). I’d be very interested to see what happened with all the IMAC money if all this still needs doing
