Kriss Donald (2 July 1988 – 15 March 2004) was a 15-year-old white Scottish teenager who was kidnapped , tortured and set on fire and murdered in Glasgow in 2004 by a gang of Pakistani Muslim men of Pakistani origin, some of whom fled to Pakistan after the crime Daanish Zahid, Imran Shahid, Zeeshan Shahid and Mohammed Faisal Mustaq were later found guilty of racially motivated murder and sentenced to life imprisonment. A fifth man, Zahid Mohammed, pleaded guilty to kidnapping, assault and lying to police and was sentenced to five years in prison. He later went on to testify against the other four at their trials
The case featured the first-ever conviction for racially motivated murder in Scotland. The killers are due to be released, Also the mother wanted to organize a memorial rally marking 20 years since Kriss murder but was stopped from doing this by the council who claimed it could cause racial tension! This must be what they call white priveilege! Shocking that the media hardly picked up on it, yet when a black youth was murdered by white youths in London it continues to this day to make headlines!
ReplyDeleteThe BBC apologised for lack of coverage with this, but if you swapped his skin colour or religion to lets say Islam it would have been top of all the news headlines and TV shows! Sad, white racism and no one cares
