I hope some answers can be found for the family, it is scary how many people locally have gone missing and have never been found, The devastated wife of a man who disappeared 12 months ago has said she will not have closure until he's found.

Maria Evans said the "joy in life has gone" since her husband of 30 years, Tim left their Llandudno home on March 29 last year and has not been seen since. Despite issuing several heartbreaking appeals pleading for the 59-year-old dad-of-two to return, the family are no less closer to getting answers.

Mr Evans, described as around 5ft 5ins tall and of large build, left behind a note as well as his coat, wallet and phone.

He was suffering with a spinal condition, which caused him chronic pain as well as depression.

Maria Evans, from Llandudno, is appealing for her husband Tim Evans who was last seen on Thursday March 29 to get in touch

Police, sniffer dogs and search and rescue teams and the helicopter were involved in the hunt and the family rounded up a search party in the weeks after his disappearance.

  'Feeling hollow'

Speaking to North Wales Live as today marks a year since she last saw him, Mrs Evans said every day is "painful" and leaves her "feeling hollow." "I have got through the last 12 months because of the amazing support I have had from my family and friends," she said.

"I have also had counselling through the Missing People charity which is still so helpful.

"The sad truth is men's mental health is still the main aspect associated with high suicide rates.

"It's shocking how many men take their own lives each year - three times more men than women with unemployment and ill health to blame."

  'No closure'

The district nurse added: "It's painful to think what might have gone through Tim's mind as he was writing the letters saying he was sorry.

"Having no closure is so hard every day though. "It's painful and it leaves a hollowness like the joy in life has gone.

"We miss him and every day really is a heartache."
