Llandudno...Rhos-on-Sea man guilty of assault to pay more than £1,400!

Not much of a fine for such a nasty attack!

A MAN from Rhos-on-Sea has been ordered to pay in excess of £1,400 after he was found guilty of assaulting a man in Old Colwyn.

Michael Cawthray, 55, of Ebberston Road East, was accused of assaulting James Boyd by beating him on Llanelian Road on December 23, 2021.

He was found guilty at Llandudno Magistrates’ Court on September 26, has pleaded not guilty on August 3.

Cawthray is to pay a £576 fine, £150 in compensation, £628 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service, and a £58 victim surcharge.

This totaled £1,412, to be paid in full by October 25.
