Colwyn Bay....A man who punched partner and pressed cigarette against her face is jailed

And quite rightly so too, what a piece of trash.

A MAN accused of punching his partner and pressing a lit cigarette against her face during attacks on her was jailed for 18 weeks yesterday (May 30).

A five-year restraining order was also made at Llandudno court.

Nicky Allen, 44, of Hawarden Road, Colwyn Bay, pleaded guilty to two common assaults, stalking by sending Facebook messages to the victim, and criminal damage.

Prosecutor James Neary said Louise McAuliffe had been pinned against a wall and her mobile phone damaged, too, during her ordeals.

Deborah Davies, defending, said they were unpleasant offenses. Allen suffered from his mental health.

District judge Gwyn Jones told Allen: “You used significant aggression towards your partner and treated her and the children with contempt.”

He’d exercised “a significant degree of unhealthy control.”

Judge Jones remarked to the defendant: “You had no respect for your partner and no understanding as to the effect your behavior would have on those children who witnessed such behavior.

“Your record of offending does you no favors. You think you can do whatever you want.”
