Llandudno...Teenager found dead at bottom of cliff near Little Orme is named!

The whole area is quite dangerous, there are no proper paths, and no signs warning people either.

A teenager who was found dead near Llandudno's Little Orme less than a week before Christmas has been named. Kai Cullum, 19, of Pendre Road, Penrhynside, Llandudno, was found at the bottom of a cliff at Angel Bay on the morning of December 20.

An inquest opening held at Ruthin County Hall on January 3 heard Mr. Cullum's body was discovered by a dog walker at the base of a cliff measuring around 30 meters in height. Emergency services were called to the popular walking spot and Mr. Cullum was pronounced dead at 8.59am by paramedics.

He was later formally identified by officers from North Wales Police. Senior coroner for North Wales east and central, John Gittins, told the inquest there was evidence to suggest Mr. Cullum had fallen from the top of the cliff.

On December 21, a spokesperson for North Wales Police said: "We can confirm a body was found shortly after 8.30am yesterday morning (20/12), in the Angel Bay area of Penrhyn Bay, Llandudno.

"The local coroner's office has been informed and we continue to assist in their investigations. The cause of death is not believed to be suspicious."

A postmortem conducted by Dr Muhammad Aslam gave a provisional cause of death as a head injury. The inquest was adjourned with the date of the full inquest to be fixed.

  1. You see youths climbing up the slopes all the time thinking they are the big I am, sadly some of the area is dangerous and should be fenced off.
