A spokesperson said: "The search continued late into the night and throughout the day on 11th May. No further details are available at this time."
Possible object'
Conwy Lifeboat was tasked yesterday after a member of the public was concerned over an 'object' in the water off Deganwy. Given the ongoing search for the teenager missing from West Shore this was investigated by the RNLI team.
They said: "At 09:43 this morning (Monday), Conwy Lifeboat was tasked by HM Coastguard following a report from a concerned member of the public about a possible object in the water off Deganwy Beach.
"Our D Class inshore lifeboat was launched with three volunteer crew onboard to investigate. On arrival, the crew began a search of the area. Following updated information that the object in question was yellow and stationary, our volunteers proceeded to check all four liferafts in the Conwy Bay Area.
"Given the current circumstances, they also carried out a detailed shoreline search from Twin Sisters Rock near the Great Orme all the way along to Morfa Beach. With nothing sighted, the lifeboat was stood down and returned to station, where it was cleaned, refuelled and made ready for service once again.
"This marks our third call-out over the past few days, and we’d like to say a heartfelt thank you to the member of the public who raised the alarm. We are always happy to investigate anything unusual – it’s far better to check than to miss something important.
"This morning’s search also comes during an ongoing multi-agency effort to locate a missing person in our wider coastal area. Crews, including our colleagues at Llandudno Coastguard Rescue Team, North Wales Police and many others have been fully committed to the search throughout the weekend and into today.
"We’d like to extend our sincere thanks to the local community for the support you’ve shown and helping with the search in a safe manner.
"We are also incredibly grateful to our partner agencies, who continue to work tirelessly. Together, we remain committed to doing everything we can.
"If you ever see anything unusual in the water, or someone in difficulty, please dial 999 and ask for the Coastguard."
"Doing everything we can"
Llandudno Coastguard last night released a statement on the ongoing search for teenager Athrun after he went missing from Llandudno's West Shore beach on Saturday.
The statement from Llandudno Coastguard: "This weekend, the Llandudno Coastguard Rescue Team has been fully committed to the ongoing search for a missing person. The search continued today(Monday).
"We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the local community for their incredible support during this difficult time. A special thank you to The Light House Community Church, West Shore for your generous hospitality — providing us with tea, snacks, and the use of your facilities. Your kindness has truly kept us going.
"To the many members of the public who have helped with the search or offered food, water, and encouragement — thank you. Your support means more than words can say.
"We are also deeply grateful to our partner agencies, who continue to work alongside us tirelessly.
"Together, we remain committed to doing everything we can."
Search widened
Having started in the centre of the West Shore near the playground, the two teams of six police divers are now at the extreme ends of the beach.
One team went around the main groyne and then to the smaller bay beneath Marine Drive on the Great Orme.
Search conditions are reported to be good, with very clear water along the beach under blue skies. However it is starting to cloud over.
