Where is Charlie McCoubrey on the list?
NEW data has revealed the Conwy County Borough Council employees earning more than £100,000 a year.
The Taxpayer Alliance’s latest annual Town Hall Rich List found that more than 3,900 council employees across the UK were paid at least £100,000 in the 2023-24 financial year.
This represents a 26 per cent increase on the previous financial year.
Conwy County Borough Council has five employees listed – the highest-earning of these is chief executive Rhun ap Gareth, who was paid £163,419.
That figure is comprised of his £136,638 salary, and his pension contribution of £26,781.
Jenny Williams, the council’s strategic director of social care and education, was second, having been paid £132,588 in 23-24.
This was made up of a £110,860 salary, and a £21,728.
Third was Amanda Hughes, strategic director of finance and resources, who was paid £131,777 (£110,182 salary, £21,595 pension contribution).
Lowri Brown and Geraint Edwards, head of education services and head of environment, roads and facilities respectively, were both paid £111,570 in 23-24, meanwhile.
