Heartbreaking news, I hope this poor lady is okay, to think this happened in a very public place is a real worry. I hope the man gets jailed. A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of assaulting a woman while she was walking her dog in Colwyn Bay earlier this week.
The alleged offence took place near Colwyn Leisure Centre on Monday (October 6).
Officers arrested the man in connection with the incident last night (October 8).
Police continue to appeal for anyone who witnessed or has information about the incident.
A North Wales Police spokesperson said: “Further to our recent appeal regarding an assault in Colwyn Bay earlier this week, we can confirm that a male suspect is now in custody.
“This remains an active investigation, and our enquiries are ongoing.
“We continue to appeal for information about this incident, and are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area of Eirias Park between 7pm and 8pm on Monday.
