Scary if true, The problem with these things is that people are named before the court and not when found guilty.
Should it not be anonymous until the court has reached a verdict?
A man is accused of raping a girl on an Anglesey beach. Lee James Howland, 34, appeared in Caernarfon Magistrates Court this morning accused of carrying out the alleged attack and committing other alleged offenses against a girl under 16 last Thursday (August 18) at Traeth Penial, near Llanfachraeth.
Howland, of Bont Uchaf, Bethesda, Gwynedd was remanded in custody and will appear at a preliminary hearing at Caernarfon Crown Court next month.
The court heard he is charged with rape, attempted rape, assault by penetration, and sexual assault which was non-penetrative. The alleged victim cannot be identified to protect her identity.
Magistrates chairman Sue Wynn-Jones committed the case to Caernarfon Crown Court for a further hearing on September 12.
Detective Chief Inspector Chris Bell, of North Wales Police, said the girl involved "in this incident is our utmost priority and our specialist officers are working closely to support her."
“Whilst this is being treated as an isolated incident, there is an increased police presence in the area and I thank the public for the assistance provided following our earlier appeal.”
