Colwyn Bay ...FOI Council Action Regarding The Grade II Listed Imperial Hotel!

YES WHAT EXACTLY IS THE COUNCIL DOING ABOUT THIS BUILDING AT RISK? MCcOUBREY NEEDS TO GET OFF HIS ARSE AND ACTUALLY DO SOMETHING ABOUT OUR HERITAGE RATHER THAN LICKING THE NEW BUILD DEVELOPER's BACKSIDES! Ignore the caps, an angry woman is writing!

Dear Conwy County Borough Council,
The Grade II Listed Imperial Hotel https://britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/300...
Is currently in a poor state of repair due to neglect by the current owners.
Workmen have even been seen taking slates off the roof!
These concerns have been reported to the council a number of times.
The council have this responsibility...
Definition: Urgent Works Notice
A notice served by a local authority (or Historic England) under s54 of the Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) Act 1990 to execute any works considered urgently necessary to preserve a listed building in the area.

s54 Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) Act 1990(opens in a new window)

Can the council please clarify.....
1, What action of any kind they have undertaken to protect the building?
2, What action is currently being planned?

Yours faithfully,

WE WILL AWAIT A REPLY!

  1. I bet the council want it to fall down so their chums Cartrefi Conwy and Anwyl can build flats there!
