Colwyn Bay... Delinquent teenager with ‘flagrant disregard for court orders’ jailed

She looks a delightful child, hopefully keeping her locked up for a while might straighten her out, I doubt it though! Any thoughts?

A WOMAN from Colwyn Bay has returned to a Young Offender Institution after she twice breached her criminal behavior order (CBO) and committed assault and criminal damage.

Isobelle Roberts, 19, of Rhiw Bank Terrace, was sentenced to 30 weeks’ imprisonment at Llandudno Magistrates’ Court on October 30.

She had previously admitted two counts of breaching a CBO, and one charge each of assault by beating and of criminal damage to property.

The court heard that, at her home address on August 20, Roberts damaged cups and plates belonging to Conwy County Borough Council, before assaulting Janet English there the following day.

Roberts then breached her CBO twice by attending Colwyn Bay and Wrexham General railway stations on August 24 and 25 respectively.

She was sentenced to prison on the basis that she had shown a “flagrant disregard for court orders”.

Her CBO was put in place last November after she made persistent calls (totaling roughly 150) to emergency services.

It also prohibited her from entering railway stations.

Roberts was sentenced to 38 weeks’ imprisonment in January for breaching this by attending Rhyl railway station, though this was reduced to 30 weeks following a February appeal.

During the February hearing, Caernarfon Crown Court was told that, during the January incident at Rhyl railway station, Roberts told officers that she would “rather go to prison” as there is “routine there; there’s nothing on the outside”.
