Dear heavens! its all happening in North Wales! A MAN who stood outside a person's window naked whilst performing a sex act on himself has been sentenced.
Stephen Tarjanyi, of Sefton Road in Old Colwyn, appeared at Caernarfon Crown Court on Friday for sentence.
The 27-year-old had previously been convicted of three offences concerning acts outraging public decency.
All three offences took place on different dates last year.
Dafydd Roberts, prosecuting, told the court that on the first occasion, he was seen 'naked' in public.
A few days later, he was spotted at a park in the early hours of the morning by a dog-walker.
Initially he was clothed, but then he dropped his trousers and exposed his genitals to the other person.
Finally, the third offence concerned him standing outside a person's window naked whilst performing a sex act on himself.
The court heard Tarjanyi does have previous convictions, but none relating to sexual behaviour or exposure.
Richard Edwards, defending, told the court: "This young man has significant mental health issues.
"There is evidence of significant thought disorders similar to schizophrenia, but this requires further assessment.
"The defendant has now spend some eight months in custody - the equivalent of a 16 month sentence.
"It's been explained to Mr Tarjanyi that the sentence he will get today will mean he won't be returning to prison but he known he needs to attend Conwy Housing for assistance."
Judge Nicola Jones told the defendant: "During a period of relapse in your mental state, you exposed your genitals on each of those dates.
"In mitigation is your significant mental illness." The Judge imposed a six month jail term, but acknowledged that due to the time spent on remand, Tarjanyi had already served the entirety of that sentence.
She urged the defendant to work with the probation service on his release, telling him: "They will be there to help you keep your life on track."
