I wonder who has complained about the parking? I bet it is a certain block of flats that have complained! I wonder where the card from Queens Court flats will park now?
A series of new restrictions have come into force across Rhos-on-Sea, having started on September 22, 2025.
The measures, introduced by Conwy County Borough Council, will affect several roads in the town.
Under the new order, a number of locations will see 'no waiting at any time' restrictions.
These include sections of Upper Promenade, the alleyway from Upper Promenade to Sea Bank Road, Sea Bank Road, Tan-y-Bryn Road, Stuart Avenue, Princess Avenue, Penrhyn Avenue, Cranford Crescent, Elwy Road, and Tan y Bryn Road.
The full list of affected locations and the specific lengths of road covered by the restrictions can be found on the council's website.
In addition, West Promenade will be subject to 'no waiting and no loading/unloading at any time' restrictions.
On the north side, the restriction will apply from its junction with Cayley Promenade for a distance of 88 metres in a south-easterly direction.
On the south side, the restriction will cover a distance of 133 metres from the same junction.
The proposals relating to Abbey Road and Church Road have been deferred.
Anyone wishing to question the validity of the order or any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the order, may apply to the High Court for this purpose within six weeks from the date of the order.
The order was made by M Georgiou, Head of Law and Governance, and is dated September 17, 2025.
The public notice, including the full schedule of restrictions, is available to view on the council's website.
