A lot of people think this statue is awful and looks nothing like the Legendary star!
However lost of people also love it, the problem is that the statue is not very robust and in this day and age delinquency is a huge problem and they love to set things on fire and damage anything they can.
Down by the Skip at Porth Eirias vast amounts of delinquents gather at night, and something like this is a temptation they will be unable to resist.
Llandudno had a similar problem with the White Rabbit Statue on the West Shore which stood opposite the Alice In Wonderland holiday home of Alice Liddel which was later torn down by Anwyl despite a huge appeal by locals!
The Statue was attacked many times and later placed in a cage, it is still protected now.
Its a sad world when heritage and history are under attack either by Delinquents, Property Developers or the Council!
Top picture, Statue Attackd, Middle Statue placed in cage in lake! and bottom, Statue restored but protected. This will have to be done with the Terry Jones Statue.
And the story.
A STATUE of Monty Python legend Terry Jones in Colwyn Bay has suffered vandalism, just weeks after the sculpture was unveiled to the public.
The bronze memorial, named A Python on the Prom, was sculpted by Llandudno artist Nick Elphick and revealed by Michael Palin and Terry Gilliam at an event last month.
The sculpture, which depicts Jones as the Monty Python’s Nude Organist, is a permanent tribute to the late comedian.

But in a clip posted on social media yesterday (May 19), Mr Elphick revealed the statue had already been damaged.
Two door knockers, which referenced animated characters from fantasy film Labyrinth, for which Jones wrote the screenplay, have been pulled off.
Mr Elphick said it was a "very, very sad" case of "slight vandalism", and that he was a "bit upset" that such a treasured memorial would be treated this way.
He said: “Bit upset, can’t believe it really, I’m actually gutted.
“But just to let everyone know, there are CCTV cameras completely on it. So whoever’s done it, will be seen.”
He added that the damaged parts had been recovered by members of the public and that he hoped that the damage would be repaired.
