So sad, and also there have been people celebrating her death, people on the left writing how they hoped she suffered! Is this not hate crime, and should this not be investigated by the police?
Counter-terrorism police have taken over the investigation into the death of Ann Widdecombe after "new information and evidence has come to light", Counter Terrorism Policing South East has confirmed.
The former Conservative minister and later Reform UK spokeswoman was discovered dead at her Haytor home on Dartmoor at approximately 11.40am on Thursday, having sustained serious injuries.
Counter-terrorism officers have re-arrested a 28 year old white British man on suspicion of the commission, preparation or instigation of acts of terrorism, and have assumed leadership of the inquiry into her death.
Authorities confirmed that fresh information and evidence had emerged in the course of the investigation.
Head of National Counter Terrorism Policing, Laurence Taylor, said: "Building on the progress made by our colleagues in Devon and Cornwall Police, we now have new information and evidence that means Counter Terrorism Policing is now leading the investigation.", reports the Liverpool Echo.
Very sad news
