This is hardly unexpected, but it is very worrying, just when will this all go away, or is it here for good?
NORTH Wales' health board is asking people to wear masks once more due to a rise in Covid-19 outbreaks in some of its wards.
Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCUHB) made the plea earlier today (Tuesday, June 28).
The request comes following an 'increased number' of Covid-19 outbreaks, the health board says.
Concerns have been raised over the impact these have been having on staff absences.
This change will not affect those who are exempt from wearing a mask.
A statement from the health board read: “Due to increased COVID-19 prevalence in our communities, increased number of COVID-19 ward outbreaks, and the impact this is having on staff absence, we ask all staff, patients, and visitors to support us by wearing face masks in all clinical areas in all health and care settings, unless exempt.
“This includes all areas where patients receive care such as hospital wards and in clinics. While it may no longer be law, wearing a mask will help protect vulnerable people.
“We thank you for your continued support and understanding.”
