Llandudno...Another Hotel Goes Up For Sale!

Another hotel is up for sale, I think it is fair to say that the industry is struggling. The government needs to urgently reduce taxes on Hotels and Public House, and the industry needs support.

An LLANDUDNO hotel named the best in the UK is up for sale for offers of more than £ 2 million.

Lawton & Lauriston Court Hotel on the North Parade in Llandudno was named the top site in the UK in the 2020 Tripadvisor Traveller’s Choice Best of the Best awards.

That year saw it also named third in Europe and in 2021 it was second across the UK in the same awards, just losing out to The Hari in Knightsbridge, London.

The hotel has a stellar reputation under husband and wife Scott and Hannah Lawton-Jones, who also run the site with with Scott’s parents Carol-Lynn and Ian Robbins.

The site is on the market with Colliers, who are inviting offers of more than £ 2 million for the 35-bedroom site, which sits across the road from the entrance to Llandudno Pier.

Colliers said: "This is an award-winning, family-operated seafront Hotel. It has a fantastic trading position overlooking Llandudno Bay. There is a modern bar and lounge area with a recently opened restaurant.

“The property comprises a four-story mid-terrace building, above the basement, formerly comprising three separate guesthouses which have been amalgamated.

"The property has retained its original Victorian features with large bay windows at ground and first floor levels rendered front elevation.

“The properties are held on a long leasehold for the remainder of 999 years with Mostyn Estate, subject to nominal ground rent per annum."
